out our back door

On Sunday we took the girls up the rocks that were right out our back door. They really enjoyed the opportunity to climb! There was also a trail out the back door, the trail looped around and came back by the house a ways up the mountain. My Dad had told us it was only a 10-15 minute hike to get to the upper part of the trail.......45+ minutes later we were finally there. Something about hiking with a group including an almost two year old and three and a half year old it doesn't go quite as fast. After we returned Rachel also informed us my Dad's estimate was a little off (he had hiked in with her the day before) she said it took them at least half an hour. But the girls had fun, my Dad and I found a quicker way back to the house while Hannah, Nathan, Becca and Lucas took the long way back and enjoyed the stream and some "fishing" before getting back.
