a family hike

Friday, the last full day of our vacation everyone went out on a hike together. It was supposed to be a slight incline for 1/4 of a mile and the rest was supposed to be pretty flat. It turned out to be a little more of an incline, for a little more than 1/4 mile, but we all made it to the destination and the girls walked most of the way up! When we came to the destination, which was supposed to be a town that had been wiped out by an avalanche, but there really wasn't much left to it to see, we stopped for a break. Debbie, my mom, the girls and I headed back down the mountain. While my Dad, Becca, Lucas, Rachel and Nathan continued to the top. The girls had to be carried most of the way down due to the not so little incline and tripping and falling. Debbie took Hannah and my mom and I had Evie, so it all worked out well. We even got some pictures :-)
