Swim Meets

Evie has swam at two swim meets in the past couple weeks. One was the day after Hannah's birthday party and she slept over at a friends house and went with their family to the meet. She had a blast and the family who brought her said she was wonderful and would do it any time. The second swim meet was this past Saturday and I was able to bring her (the one after Hannah's party Nathan and I were both booked with other things so we weren't able to bring her). It was LONG but she did well and had fun.

They are way more high tech than when I was swimming, here you can see Evie's time in the 100 IM (individual medley, all four strokes) with her name!
On the blocks......
 ready to go......
Swimming fast!
She did the 100 IM, 50 free, 50 back and 50 breast at both meets
She loves to swim and is looking forward to another meet this weekend.

Hannah's birthday party

We had a birthday party for Hannah and hosted it at the church. The kids enjoyed playing in the gym and playing with legos. I made lego ice cubes and chocolate lego men and blocks with molds we have. Everyone thought the chocolate legos were great. The kids all had a lot of fun and it was nice being able to use the church and have room for all the people to move and play!
We put down some sheets and let the kids have at it
We separated out the wheels and everyone made a car
And then Nathan made a ramp for the cars to go down out of tables :-) I love having a creative retired engineer for a husband!
We did ice cream sundaes instead of cake, although we did have angel food cake on Hannah's birthday. She wanted it for her party as well, but that would have involved making a lot of angel food cake and wouldn't have worked so well. We were at church from 1:15 pm until 8:30 pm because we had some things to do at the church before the party. The kids were so excited to spend the day at church! I am thankful the kids still run full speed for the church building when the car stops and that they enjoy being there.

Mouth Updates

Mouths have been changing quickly around here. Damen pulled out his two front bottom teeth on Jan. 27th, Kaleb is working on getting his third tooth out and Evie got headgear last Wednesday! Here are some pictures.
Damen is now missing all four of his front teeth!
Kaleb is working on getting the other front top tooth out, but here is he and Damen with their missing teeth!
Evie with headgear, isn't she cute? I called her metal mouth but she didn't like that so much, I told her she was super cute with all the metal in her mouth, she has braces, a lower retainer and the headgear. I think that's enough for right now :-)
