Adventure of the day

Today we spent three hours in the ER with Hannah. She's doing fine now, but had febrile seizure (a seizure caused by a rapped spike in temperature) around 2:30 pm today. We called 911 and the EMTs thought it best to bring her to the ER, as she seized for about 10 minutes. When we got their they took her temperature and it was 105.6, she got the award for the highest fever of the day so far at the pediatric ER. They ran a bunch of tests to make sure there was nothing else going on besides the fever, and all the tests came back clear. There is a virus going around (probably the same thing Evie had last week) with a high fever and that's probably what she has. She's been put on antibiotics just in case and napped when we got back from the ER and was doing much better tonight. She sat at the table while we ate dinner and even had a little herself. It was definitely a blessing having Debbie here, as we were able to leave Evie napping while both Nathan and I headed to the ER. Evie napped almost the entire time we were gone, so Debbie had it pretty easy :-)
