Home ownership

The past several months have been kind of nuts in the home ownership part of life. We put a ceiling fan in the girls bed room (why would you ever not have over head lighting in a room?!?). A switch on our microwave went, Nathan was able to fix it with an arcade switch for a fraction of the price of the actual part. A seal on our dishwasher is also going, but as long as you have it tipped back when you run it it doesn't leak :-) Oh, we also had a pipe freeze  When it go into the negative double digits around here this winter one of the pipes in the utility room froze. Fortunately we were able to thaw it and not have anything burst. It only took a few hours for it to thaw with a hairdryer and a fan :-)  We also had a fan in our pellet stove go bad, for the second time since we've own the house, which is only three years! Oh yeah, and our kitchen cabinet trash drawer broke (it's a slide out cabinet thing) and the drawer our school supplies were in broke.  Sometimes home ownership is not so fun.
