The Park

Thursday we spent almost six hours at the park. We went with some friends who stayed for the first two plus hours and then another friend from the opposite direction who we've met at the park before showed up just as we were about to leave. We had to stay of course and hang out with them, which put us there for a very long time. :-)
Crazy kids on the swing
And this one with a few different people looking :-)
After our friends left we spent some time in the creek by the park. And look what I caught!
A crayfish (that's what Yankees call crawfish)! The stream was crawling with them! There were some boys who caught more than 20 of them to giving to a person they knew who was going to feed them to their (big) fish.
Once I caught it the kids had fun examining it.
They all touched it, and Kaleb and Evie both picked it up.
Here Hannah is just watching it. They are fascinating. They swim backwards and it's fun to stick your finger in front of them to make they shoot back.
That was definitely a highlight of the park time.
The boys had a great time with their friend who showed up later on who is more their age. They weren't included as much as they would have liked with the first group. But with their later friend they had a ball.
