Camping Out

The girls, upon returning from MA this weekend asked if they could use the air mattress and have a camp out in their room. It was agreed if they picked up their room they could do it. Yesterday we spent the day cleaning the whole house, which resulted in a clean room for them as well! They were super excited when we told them they could camp out and made them a "tent" for their room.

 Seeing the tent
Doing our Bible reading in the tent. Please note how Evie is following along with her finger...or attempting to, if I don't follow along the words with my finger a lot of the time Evie will, although in general she is more in the way than following, but that's ok!
After reading Daddy did shadow puppets with the girls (hence the foot in the air).
Here he's making a "fire" under the blankets with the flash light
 See?
The girls loved the camp out and asked if they could do it again. They insisted that the air mattress was nicer than their beds. What have we started? ;-)

  1. We used to camp out in the back yard play house when we lived in England. We had to take out all of the toys (play kitchen, etc)... my Dad slept curled up across the widest part with me on one side of him and George and Grace on the other. Our sleeping bags and bodies completely covered the floor. We insisted it was better than our beds the first time, too... Fun memories :)

  2. Our oldest is wanting to sleep in the tent in the back yard.

Maybe I should make her an indoor tent. :)

    Your girls are so precious!
