First, they all had to get dressed, Evie, Damen, Hannah and Kaleb. Aren't they cute?
Listening to the Christmas story from Luke chapter 2. We ate breakfast somewhere in there, homemade cinnamon rolls, yum!
Then it was down stairs for some fun.
Evie, excited about the hair brush in her stocking, which she totally needed to use :-)
Evie was super excited about everything in her stocking, including the thank you notes to use for all the gifts. Which was my brilliant idea while at the dollar store getting other stocking stuff.
Kaleb digging through his stocking
Hannah excited about some hot chocolate
And Damen seeing what's left in his.
Opening gifts from Nana and Grandad
And the boys could have stopped right there with their construction equipment, but the girls went for more.
Nathan's brother and sister in-law gave the boys stomp rockets, which we all played with later on Christmas because it was such a nice day out.
We saved the best for last. The boys foster parents, Barb and John got them guitars. Can you tell how happy they are? The day before they had been using books for guitars, now they have "real" guitars.
Hannah got a mini drum set from them, which brought squeals of delight.
And Evie got a microphone. Which she was thrilled with.
Some jamming with a keyboard I found at goodwill, which a stand the Monday before Christmas, I thought it might add a nice addition to the band.
Here's a video of the kids opening the instruments.
Nathan having a little fun with the mic
Evie singing and the rest playing their instruments.
They did a little worship service for us, Evie even stopped them playing for a minute to do a Bible reading for us and read the first part of John chapter one. Unfortunately that one was a little long and you can't really hear her that well, so I'm not uploading it. Needless to say, it was a very noisy Christmas :-)
The kids did take a little break for the instruments to play with the construction toys and the kinetic sand my parents got them, they all had a blast with that as well.

Kinetic sand is some pretty cool stuff, all the kids enjoyed it.
We also had some friends over who brought BINGO, and all the kids played that. The boys needed a little help, but did pretty well. Our neighbors stopped by after that and joined us for some fun with the stomp rockets and running around outside. Over all a fun and relaxing Christmas!
