The 4th

We had a fun 4th trying to stay cool. It's been extremely humid for here which means it doesn't cool down at night, and when you have highs in the upper 80s and it doesn't cool down much at night it doesn't make for a very comfortable house. So we decided we'd get out of the house on the 4th and head down to Stepping Stones museum. It was great having a second set of eyes on the kids and gave us the ability to split up with the kids as well. Nathan took the girls on the solar train as a treat, which they had been wanting to do.
Having fun on the train!
And making silly faces for Daddy!

Evie spent awhile adding balls to the conveyor belt and making sure not to miss a spot
They go up and into a track and down the vortex
The museum closed at 3 pm, so after that we headed over to the very cool park we had found behind the museum the last time we were there. As I said, it was really hot, so we didn't stay long, but the girls were super excited to have a chance to check it out.
I remember a slide like this from when I was a kid!
They also had a cool teeter totter, the girls were on one side and the boys and Nathan were on the other.
When we got home the girls spent awhile swinging (and tormenting their brothers who are just out of view in this shot)
We all enjoyed some nice cool watermelon as well!
While Hannah continued with her silly faces! :-)
