In the beginning......

 After a crazy weekend of packing our house, preparing for people to move in and packing our RV preparing to go on the road for six months we left at 11 pm on Monday June 5th. Not an ideal time to leave, but we were determined to get out and we made it that day. Don't worry, we made it into the campground before 4 am and had everything hooked by 5 am. There may have been a switch in camp sites and a bit of time between getting there and getting to bed, but we made it. Nathan and I were up again by 9 am for work, the kids slept in and then enjoyed the pool. Wednesday we went to the Creation Museum, which was really neat and had a lot of good stuff in it. On the way home from the Creation Museum we were following the GPS and it said "Bored Ferry" so we had an unexpected ferry ride, which was kind of cool. The next day we went to the Ark Encounter, which was huge, but the kids were an entranced by, they weren't into staying there very long, and we didn't get to walk through some things that I would have liked to see, but there is always another time for that. We left Indiana (the campground was right over the river from Kentucky and Ohio) on Friday and made it to Rocky Gap state park in Maryland, and to visit my sister. We didn't get in until late (almost 10 pm), so Saturday we caught up with my sister at her house. The kids went for a hike across the street from my sister's house and were really enjoying it.....until Kaleb slipped and gashed his shin.....one ER trip, five internal stiches and 12 external we made it to the birthday party for my nephew just as it was ending. Don't worry, Kaleb is doing fine and I'm sure will be healed up in no time. 

I am hoping to write and update the blog at least weekly and try to get the kids involved as well. It is probably going to take a few weeks or maybe a month to get into a routine and get blogging again regularly.

Now to figure out where we are off to next 😃
