Today we went to Hartford and saw the St Patrick's Day parade. That was in no way our intention for the day. We were supposed to be seeing the boys birth mom for her last visit with them at the Hartford Library. She never showed up. I think it was because of the chaos of the parade. The boys social worker was supervising the visit, she made it, she was about 25 minutes late. We were on time, only because we were planning on getting there 45 minutes early so we could feed the kids, since the visit was scheduled for noon. We got parked and to the library about five minutes before noon. No one thought about/knew the parade was going on. The library is on main street and that's where the parade was, so all the streets were closed down around it, our exit was closed down, the road to get into the library parking lot was closed down.... So we'll probably have to do another trip to Hartford in the near future for their birth mom's last visit. But hey, at least we made the best of it and watched the parade and hung out in the library for a little bit. Here are some pictures to prove we were there!

There were a lot of marching bands.
Some guys on cool little cars!
A couple more float like things, but not many.
And lots of fire trucks.
Evie, enjoying the parade.
