lite brite

We had gotten a lite brite at a garage sale a few years ago and the girls were really too young for it. We did it a few times, but it just ended up in a mess in general. While, Evie had been asking me for several weeks when she could use it and I finally said yesterday she could during quiet time. It is now a perfect Evie toy. She is my perfectionist follow a pattern kid and when she saw that it told you exactly what color pegs to put in where she couldn't be happier!

Here's what Evie did (it happened to be the page that was on the thing when she took it out of the box)

Evie strongly encouraged Hannah to do a picture as well and told Hannah she could make up her own design because we have lots of sheets for that as well. That is much more Hannah's style, so here's what she did.

It's a person with a hat on the blue pegs in the middle are the eyes, below that is a red mouth. The legs with fit on the bottom and the arms/hands....

Evie then took over when Hannah was done and just started filling in the entire area because it had dots for everywhere. Crazy child! But that's Evie, unfortunately we don't have enough pegs to fill the entire surface area, but fortunately she was not too disappointed  by this and just used all we had.
