A new roof
Our roof may have had a slight leak for the past three years....it was really small, but seemed to be getting a little worse, it's been a very dry summer though, so the water spot on our ceiling really did grow much...then we found a second one....so we decided it was probably time to call a roofer or two. We called three and got some quotes. Apparently when you haven't had a hurricane for a few years and it's been a really dry summer roofers don't have much work so they'll give you a really good deal and get the job done fast. We decided to go with Clear Lake Area Roofers who gave us a quote on the Sept 1st and then had our roof finished by 3 pm on the 8th. They showed up shortly after 7 am on the 8th to drop off the shingles. They had a forklift and were right outside the girls window. They were super excited to see the forklift and named it Guido after the forklift in the movie Cars. The roofers arrived around 8 am. The girls enjoyed watching them for a few minutes before we headed to Bible study. By 3 pm the yard and driveway were completely clean and they were gone! They had a crew of seven, but I was still impressed by the speed with which they did it.
