A finished floor!

Becca and Lucas came down to watch the kids for the adoption training, but they did so much more than that! One of those many more things was helping us finish the floor in our den. Yes, that would be the floor we were working on when the girls did this.  

 This is the rug that was in the den. It was nice rug, but had dog stains and another random hard black thing that was like tar or something that was wasn't going to come out.

 Here is Nathan removing the padding under the rug, you can see the nastyness on the pad.

 Here's the bare floor, I realized the rug was almost slab color.

 Here's the concrete used to patch an inch plus dip in our slab.

 Here's after we used the patch and self leveling compound.

 And finally we get to the laminate floor!

 The finished product! Okay, not quite, we still have to put the trim back up and haven't done that yet, but it's at least useable now.
