Basketball with the Detroit Lions

I've been lacking motivation to blog recently and haven't made it a priority. Yesterday we started rearranging our house, we're moving the kids bedrooms upstairs and moving our guest room and school/office room downstairs. This has resulted in lots of moving (and lots still to do) but one of the things the girls pulled from the bookshelf is a memory book Nathan was given of his time in California. They loved looking through that seeing pictures of friends and reading about things that happened. I realized I need to keep blogging so they and their kids can look back and remember. So here we go.
We were given tickets to a Detroit Lions (football team, mostly former players) basketball game against the Alpena D.A.R.E All Star team that happened in May. The number one rule of the game was "We cheat." The kids had fun and so did we as adults. They did all kids of crazy stuff, like bring people from the crowd onto the court including all the kids at the end of the game to do the final play like a football play.
Enjoying the game
Watching intently
The Lions team
Teaming up to prevent a basket
Recruiting a new player
During half time Evie got autographs and Hannah enjoyed a soda (or pop as they call it here)
The Lions got bored waiting for one of the D.A.R.E players to score so they all laid down and took a nap.
All kids on court for the last play of the game.
